The 'Social Finance Data-Based Impact Investment RoboAdvisor' proposed by CEO Park Jae-joon and Director Park Young-joon and Heo Jae-sik, a founding member of the fintech startup Antock Co., Ltd., contains the intention of applying the principles of asset management applications, which are currently booming, to social economy companies.
Domestic impact investment, which was only 27 billion won in 2014, surpassed 170 billion won in 2018 and is growing rapidly. However, social economy companies that actually raised funds through impact investments are at the level of 1.8%. This is because it is difficult to identify social ventures worth investing in even if there are financial resources.
Impact Investment RoboAdvisor is a service that identifies promising investment destinations by incorporating big data and artificial intelligence (AI) technology used in existing financial markets into the social economy. In the enterprise group identification stage, a big data algorithm is used to discover social economy enterprises and automatically collect investment data. After that, it is a form of evaluating a company's competitiveness, investment attractiveness, and social value, and constructing a comprehensive investment portfolio by considering the tendencies and risk tolerance levels of investment institutions. In order to develop this, more than 30,000 social economy enterprises will be sampled into the database.
Antock is actually preparing such a service, and plans to conduct automated measurements of domestic social venture valuation models and social value index (social value index) models along with evaluating investment attractiveness.
At the award ceremony held at the Millennium Hilton Seoul Hotel on the 29th, Director Heo Jae-sik said, “I'm happy to receive the award at such a historic ceremony, but I don't think I can express my happiness well because I'm so nervous,” and “I would like to thank the members of the Antock family who are working hard to launch the service.” He continued, “We have confirmed through the award that this kind of service is needed from the outside world,” and “we will try to develop the service better.”
