At KB Insight Branch, IT personnel are responsible for all banking operations. We have created an infrastructure where people who are fluent in IT can communicate with users, experience digital financial products and services together, and even do joint business. It's an infrastructure called a “tech desk.”
It is the only system in Korea where startups with promising ideas and technologies can immediately make business proposals at the branch office. After 8 months of operation, the results are remarkable. The number of joint project proposals received through the tech desk alone reached 46. AI andbig dataPromising startups such as cloud, and security are jumping in with dreams of business collaboration through insight points.
As a result, PoC is currently underway with 5 companies out of 46 business proposals, and collaboration projects will be carried out as early as the second half of the year. Promising technologies and services such as Pinetree Partners' 'Insolvency Prediction Model Using AI' and Antock's 'Web Crawling Pilot for Corporate Customer Marketing' are seeing the light of day. In addition, technology verification and joint project discussions for promising startups such as blockchain, security, and big data are ongoing.
